I'm looking to upgrade my CPU since it seems to be the last component I need to replace. I recently upgraded my GPU from a GTX 1660 Super to an RTX 4060 and I have 32GB of RAM, but I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600. My motherboard is a B450 Tomahawk Max, and honestly, I'm hesitant to update the BIOS because I'm not entirely sure how to do it and I'd rather avoid potential issues. Can anyone suggest CPUs that would work well with my current setup without needing a BIOS update? Thanks a lot!

If your motherboard is still running the original BIOS version, then the highest supported CPU you'll be able to use is the 3000 series. Some earlier B450 motherboards do require an update for full 3000 series support though, just something to keep in mind!
It's true, but just know that some early versions of B450 boards will definitely need that update for the 3000 series CPUs.
