I'm setting up a brand new computer and need some advice on installing Windows 11. My system has a 1TB HDD and a 1TB SSD, along with a B550M Pro-VDH WiFi motherboard and a Ryzen 7 5700G processor. I've already been through the BIOS settings (as best as I could). Now, during the Windows installation, I'm asked where I want to install it. I see three options:
1. Disk 0 (Unallocated space) - Total size: 931.5GB, Free space: 931.5GB
2. Disk 1 (Unallocated space) - Total size: 953.9GB, Free space: 953.9GB
3. Disk 2 (Partition 1: ESD-USB) - Total size: 14.5GB, Free space: 10.1GB
I recognize that Disk 2 is my USB drive for the installer, but I'm confused about the other two. What do they mean, and how am I supposed to choose between them for the installation? Any guidance would be really appreciated!

Honestly, it might be even better to skip the HDD for now and get a bigger SSD later. But if you want to use the HDD, just install Windows on the SSD first, and then reconnect the HDD afterwards for extra storage. It's a lot easier that way!
Just go with the SSD for your Windows installation. If you're not clear on which drive is which, unplug the HDD, and then boot up. When Windows prompts you for the installation location, it'll be easier to see what's what. Once you're done, plug the HDD back in and you're set!
You should install Windows on the SSD since it will offer better performance. I suggest disconnecting your HDD first to avoid any confusion. Once that's done, just power up your computer and select the SSD for the installation.
Definitely, SSDs are faster and it’s usually best to set that up first.
That's a good idea, but make sure you know how to reconnect the HDD later!
