Which Drivers Should I Choose: Intel or Realtek?

I'm about to start building my first PC and I'm getting everything ready, including the necessary drivers. My motherboard is the Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX, and I see that they offer both Intel and Realtek drivers for the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections. Can anyone explain the difference between these two options? Does it make a difference which one I download and install?

The main difference is that each driver is designed for a specific hardware component. If your motherboard has an Intel Wi-Fi adapter, you'll want the Intel drivers, and if it has a Realtek adapter, you'll need the Realtek drivers. It’s strange they provide both, so check which version of the motherboard you have. In many cases, only one of them will successfully install anyway. Just try installing them both and see what happens!

Actually, both drivers can usually install without checking if the specific hardware is present, so you could end up with both.

I bet if you look closely at the user manual, there’s probably a note saying which revision of the motherboard corresponds to which driver.
