Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my GPU after nearly 10 years and I'd love to get your opinions. I'm thinking of diving into 4K gaming to enjoy newer titles like Silent Hill 2 Remake and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Here's my current setup:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
- GPU: AMD Sapphire RX 480 8GB
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B550M Mortar
- RAM: 16GB DDR4
- PSU: Corsair CX550 (550W)
I'm contemplating either the RX 9060 XT 16GB or the RX 9070 16GB. My questions are:
1. Will my Ryzen 7 3700X and B550M still support 1440p or light 4K gaming without bottlenecks?
2. Besides upgrading my GPU and PSU, which of my current components can I keep?
3. Should I consider moving from 16GB to 32GB of RAM for newer games at higher resolutions?
4. For long-term use, which GPU between the RX 9060 XT and RX 9070 offers better value if my other parts remain unchanged?

I have a 65-inch 4K TV with a Ryzen 7 3700X and I’ve been gaming at 4K. It worked fine for many games, though I eventually upgraded my GPU for better performance. I'd recommend using the 9060 XT at 1440p for a better balance with your setup. 4K gaming is possible, but you'll need to manage graphic settings carefully.
