I'm looking for a good graphics card to handle 1440p gaming but want to keep it under $500. Any recommendations for options that would perform well in that range?

Consider the RTX 5060 Ti with 16GB or the RX 9060 XT with 16GB. The 5060 Ti is slightly better but also pricier. If you can stretch your budget a bit, the RTX 5070 is currently just over $500 at around $520.

For just under $500, you might find open-box deals for the RTX 5070 OC, which could be a solid option without breaking the bank.

If you're open to spending a little more, both the RTX 5070 and RX 9070 are around $500, not including tax. But if you need to stick strictly at $500, the RX 7800 XT is often available for about $430.

You can grab the PNY 5070 for $500, and it comes with 12GB of VRAM. That should give good performance at 1440p.

If you're willing to buy used, I picked up my RX 9070 for around $480, which is a great deal for 1440p gaming.
