Hey there! I'm looking to upgrade my old system and can't decide between the 5060 Ti or the 5070 for my GPU. Right now, I have an AM4 setup with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and a 650W power supply. I'm planning to temporarily swap in a Ryzen 5 5600X while I wait for RAM prices to go down, and later upgrade to an AM5 board with 32GB DDR5 RAM. My goal is to comfortably game at high settings for the next 2-3 years. I currently play at 1080p but I intend to move to 2K and won't go for 4K. I'm leaning toward the 5060 Ti, but the FPS difference with the 5070 seems notable, and the price difference is only 18%. Should I be concerned about the 4GB VRAM difference affecting the 5070's longevity?

I'd go for the 5070. When gaming at 1080p, raw power is key, and the 4GB VRAM isn't a huge issue right now. Plus, if you plan to move to 1440p, you can always adjust your graphics settings down a notch if needed. The 5070 will give you a better gaming experience overall, especially considering how games are evolving. Just make sure it'll fit your current PSU!

Will the 5070 work fine with my 650W PSU and the Ryzen 5 5600X? That's my only worry since I might not have enough budget for both.
