I'm looking to upgrade my GPU and I've narrowed it down to either the 7900XT or the 9070XT. My current specs are a Ryzen 9 7900X CPU, an RTX 3060 GPU, and 32GB of 6000MHz RAM, and I game on a 1440p 180Hz monitor. I want to know which of these cards would be better for gaming long term. Also, I should mention that I'm not interested in frame generation or upscaling features.

If the price difference isn't huge, I’d go for the 9070. But if the 7900XT is around $400 cheaper, then that could be worth considering.
Unless you really need the extra VRAM, I'd recommend the 9070XT for gaming.
What are the prices of the two cards?
The 7900XT is about $50 cheaper.
Definitely go with the 9070XT.
Can I ask why?
I have the 7900XT since it was what was available at the time, but if you're mostly gaming, the 9070XT would be the better choice. The 7900XT is solid too; it handles games well, and I can usually hit 120Hz on my OLED with the right settings. I've been playing titles like KCD2 and the new Final Fantasy, but I tend to keep ray tracing to a minimum since the RDNA 3 isn't great for it compared to RDNA 4 and Nvidia.
Good to know, thanks!

This seems to be the general consensus.
