Which GPU Should I Choose for 1440p Gaming: 9060 XT, 5070, 9070, or 9070 XT?

I'm trying to decide between the 9060 XT, 5070, 9070, and 9070 XT for gaming at 1440p aiming for 120fps. In my area, the prices in CAD are: 9060 XT (16GB) for $520, 5070 for $770, 9070 for $850, and 9070 XT for $930. The AMD cards have more VRAM, but the 5070 offers solid performance for its price and includes useful NVIDIA features. Should I go with the more affordable 9060 XT considering its value, or is it worth it to pay extra for potentially better performance and future-proofing with the pricier models?

It all depends on your gaming preference! Do you prefer competitive games or AAA single-player titles? That might sway your choice a bit.

I enjoy both types of games!

If you're set on 1440p, I’d recommend going for the 9070 or 9070 XT. The extra performance will really shine, especially if you aim to max out your settings.

The 5070 seems like a great choice for you. It strikes a nice balance between performance and price, especially if you're looking for good 1440p gaming without breaking the bank. Just keep an eye on the VRAM, considering your new build's goals!

True, but I'm a bit concerned about VRAM too. I want to try some demanding games that might push my setup.

For budget-conscious gamers, the 9060 XT is still a solid pick for 1440p. But if cost isn't a concern, I’d say the 9070 XT is the way to go for the best experience. It’ll definitely future-proof your rig.

I think the 9070 XT offers the best performance among these options. That said, the 9060 XT should handle 1440p gaming well enough if you’re not trying to max out everything.

I agree with you. I have the 9070 non-XT, and it's great for 1440p and a bit cheaper than the XT. It also uses less power, which is nice for smaller builds!
