Which GPU should I choose for 1440p gaming, a used 3080 or a 7900 GRE?

I'm building my first PC, aiming for 1440p gaming with a Ryzen 5 7600, and I'm trying to decide between buying a used 3080 priced at about $525 AUD (around $360 USD) or a used 7900 GRE for $650 AUD (around $440 USD). I want to maximize my settings for gameplay, but I also have a budget to consider. Is the 7900 GRE worth the price difference, or does it seem overpriced compared to the 3080? Additionally, I'm wondering if a 9070 XT would be a better option, despite the higher cost. Any recommendations for other GPUs that offer good cost-performance balance would be appreciated! Here's what I've got in my build so far:

- CPU: Ryzen 5 7600
- Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M Gaming WiFi
- RAM: 32GB DDR5-6000
- Cooler: Thermaltake UX200 SE
- PSU: Antec GSK750 750W Gold
- Case: Thermaltake Divider 170

If you can, check if you can find a used 4070 Super instead—it's a bit more but offers better performance than the 3080, plus you'll get frame generation features.

I'm not really into frame generation; I just want raw power for gaming. Not sure if it's worth it.
