Hey everyone! I'm considering an upgrade for my current setup, which includes a Ryzen 5 5600 and an RTX 2060 Super with 16GB of DDR4 RAM. I've got a 2K monitor (180Hz) and a new Hisense U7Q Pro TV that boasts 4K at 165Hz, and I'm eager to enhance my gaming experience on both displays. I'm particularly focused on gaming at 4K on my TV. I'm trying to decide whether to go for the 5060 Ti, the 5070, or the 9070 XT.
I've heard that NVIDIA's frame generation technology might help compensate for my CPU's performance, which is a concern since I want smooth gameplay in newer titles. I don't mind some latency since I'll be mainly playing single-player games on the TV, but I'll also play some competitive shooters on the monitor. Also, I know the 5060 Ti's performance can be impacted by my current motherboard (A320M-H) due to its PCIe 3.0, whereas the 5070 and 9070 XT should perform better with their x16 lanes. Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks!

If you want the best performance, go with the 9070 XT. Before relying on frame generation, make sure you're utilizing FSR or DLSS for upscaling. The only downside with AMD is that their FSR4 tech isn’t as widespread as NVIDIA's DLSS, but it still works well for new titles. Just keep in mind that heavily raytraced games may need some extra care to run smoothly.
I'd definitely recommend the 9070 XT. It's around 20-25% faster than the 5070 and has 33% more VRAM, which is great for 4K gaming. While NVIDIA's frame generation is impressive, it likely won't fully close the performance gap. Plus, AMD is working on their own ML frame generation, so that could improve over time. The 9070 XT will give you a much better overall experience!
Will the ML frame generation become available for current-gen AMD cards, or just the next generation?
I found this chart comparing GPU performance at different resolutions really helpful. In terms of your needs, definitely go for either the 5070 or the 9070 XT; the 5060 Ti isn't a great fit for what you're looking to do. You want all the power you can get!

Do you think my CPU will be good enough to keep up with such high performance? Should I consider going with the 5060 Ti just to give it some breathing room?
