Which GPU Should I Choose for Gaming and Work: 9060 XT or 9070?

I'm in the process of building a new PC that's going to serve as my all-in-one gaming and work machine, but I'm torn between two GPUs. I'm considering the 9060 XT 16GB for $400 and the 9070 for $600. Both can manage 1440p gaming, which is what I want, but I'm wondering if the extra $200 for the 9070 is justified by the performance boost over the 9060 XT.

If you're near a MicroCenter, I saw they have some 5070 models at MSRP for $550. Might be worth considering compared to the 9070!

If you're buying from MicroCenter, you could bundle with that CPU and get a 32GB RAM kit. If it means you have to get the 5070 instead of the 9070, I’d say go for it.

If your work involves something like Blender, I would advise against going for an AMD GPU like the 9070, as the 5060 actually outperforms it in that software. Check this comparison for more info! [nanoreview.net](https://nanoreview.net/en/gpu-compare/radeon-rx-9070-xt-vs-geforce-rtx-5060)

That extra $200 is a 50% price increase! You really need to think about your budget and what you're expecting. Both cards offer solid performance for their price. Just make sure it aligns with your needs!

Totally agree! If you're getting a 50% bump in performance for that price increase, it's actually pretty good value considering how expensive GPUs can get.

What CPU are you planning to use? If it's an AM5 build, I'd lean towards getting the best GPU you can afford, especially if you want to future-proof your setup.

I'm going with an AM5 and a R5 7600x; the PSU choice will depend on the GPU I pick.

I went for a 9600x with the 9060 XT, and honestly, it's performing impressively, even at 4K with some settings tweaked. At 1440p, the 9060 XT hits around 60fps, which is solid if you’re gaming on an older 60Hz TV. Really, it depends on your display; if you're limited to 60fps, pushing past that might be overkill!

This is just the advice I needed! I think I'm gonna stick with the 9060 XT and save some cash for other upgrades.

The 9070 is definitely the stronger card out of the two. I even spotted a model at MicroCenter for about $570 yesterday!

It was that price this morning, but now it's jumped to $599.
