I'm in the process of building a high-end gaming PC with a 9800X3D processor, but I'm torn between choosing the 5070 Ti or the 9070 XT. The 5070 Ti costs an additional $200, and I'm not convinced it's worth it. Since I mostly play competitively on low settings in Fortnite, I'm leaning towards the 9070 XT, but I'm open to hearing other opinions to see if I'm missing something. What do you think?

If the 9070 XT is cheaper, definitely go for that! The performance for competitive gaming at lower settings will be more than enough, and saving $200 is a big plus.
I agree, $200 is way too steep for the 5070 Ti. If you can find it for maybe $100 more than the 9070 XT, then it'd be worth considering. But for your gaming needs, the 9070 XT should handle Fortnite at high refresh rates just fine, especially at 1440p or lower.
I’ve tested both cards, and honestly, they both run Fortnite really well. Performance differences are negligible, especially if you’re not focused on heavy ray tracing or Nvidia’s special features like DLSS. If you're sticking to Fortnite mostly, I recommend going with the 9070 XT.
I’m in a similar boat, and honestly, I don’t mind the extra $200 since I’m looking for something more future-proof. Still, I'm leaning towards the 9070 XT because it has solid overclocking potential. That might just edge it out for longevity.
Totally agree. The 9070 XT has decent ray tracing performance too, and it might surprise you. Plus, considering your focus is on Fortnite, saving the $200 will let you invest in a better monitor or extra storage, which is a smart move.
