I'm building my first gaming desktop, moving away from my laptop setup. I'm planning to use a 9600X CPU and want to save money, hence I'm considering the RX 9060 XT (around £370) instead of the RTX 5060 Ti (about £450) for 1440p gaming. I know DLSS and multi-frame generation technologies seem better with the RTX card, but I'm curious about what everyone thinks. Which one would you recommend?

If you're into things like AI or really want the best performance at 1440p, go with the 5060 Ti. Otherwise, saving the extra cash might be wise.
Implementation matters too. If you're into PC games like Wuthering Waves or recently released titles like Arknights Enfield, using an AMD GPU can sometimes be a disadvantage.
For pure gaming and if you're on a budget, the 9060 XT is a solid choice. FSR4 has improved a lot, plus AMD's multi-frame generation is solid too.
If maxing out your frames with features like Frame Generation is crucial, the 5060 Ti 16GB is the way to go. That said, for the price, the 9060 XT 16GB is hard to pass up.
The price on the 9060 XT is super appealing, no doubt!
While DLSS 4 is generally considered better than AMD's FSR, most people find the difference minimal unless they're really scrutinizing the details. Frame generation might not be significant for everyone, but if you think it'll enhance your experience, that could sway your decision. Given the price difference, I'd lean towards the 9060 XT 16GB if you're budget-conscious.
Dlss 4.5 is now available and it's even better, so that's worth considering.
I've heard FSR4 requires the Optiscale mod for some games, but I'm not great with mods. Does that make a big difference?

Is that because those games are more CPU-heavy?
