I'm stuck deciding between the RX 9070 XT Red Devil in Spectral White and the MSI 5070 Ti 16GB Gaming Trio OC White. The 9070 XT costs £735, while the 5070 Ti is pricier at £923, which is about £160 more. I'm okay with spending the extra cash if it's really worth it. I primarily game at 1440p, focusing on single-player titles and FPS shooters like Call of Duty, aiming for at least 60fps or 100fps in multiplayer. I've heard about technologies like FSR and DLSS but could use some clarity on how they influence my decision. Reliability is key for me; I'm okay paying more for a GPU that lasts years without issues. I don't have much experience with AMD graphics cards, as I've been using a 1660 Super that has served me well. Here are my other PC components: a Lian Li 1000w PSU, AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, G.Skill 32GB CL30 RAM, an Antec C5 case, and an AORUS X870 Elite WiFi7 Ice. Thanks for your help in advance!

In terms of FPS, you really can't go wrong with either option. If you go for the 5070 Ti, you can potentially unlock up to 120fps in single-player games using DLSS, which is a nice boost with minimal graphical hit. While FSR is decent, it doesn't seem to have the same support as DLSS. If hitting high frame rates is your priority, that might sway you toward Nvidia.

For single-player and competitive FPS games, performance should be your focus. If ray tracing isn't a deal-breaker for you, the 9070 XT is a solid choice—just factor in the price you’re paying. And let's be honest, achieving higher FPS often leads to better gameplay experience overall.

For the price difference, I’d recommend going with the 9070 XT. Performance-wise, both cards are pretty close, within 5-10% of each other's performance, with a bit of an edge to the 5070 Ti. But if you're looking at reliability, there have been some stability issues with both brands lately. Just keep in mind to check which games you plan to play and the kind of performance you expect, but honestly, the 9070 XT should get the job done for 1440p gaming without any hiccups.
