I'm currently considering a GPU upgrade from my RTX 2060 paired with a Ryzen 5 5500. I'm looking at used options like the 6700 XT and the 3070, as they have similar pricing to newer models like the ARC B580 and RTX 5050. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by these choices and would love some advice!

Drivers are a hot topic but hear me out: AMD has come a long way with driver performance. They've been decent lately, but just know they often focus on newer products more than older ones. The RX 6000 series is already seeing less optimization. In contrast, Nvidia tends to support their cards much longer, so the 3070 might get you better support down the line. If you want something newer, consider the 9060 XT, which should provide years of updates.
I'd steer clear of the RTX 5050; it’s just not worth the hassle. The ARC technology is interesting, but it’s still pretty new and could pose some troubleshooting challenges, which might not be great for everyone.
The 6700 XT will give you about a 60% performance boost while the 3070 offers around 86%. But keep in mind, the 6700 XT has more VRAM, which can be beneficial. Personally, I suggest waiting for something that provides at least double the performance. If you must choose, I’d lean towards the 6700 XT for the extra VRAM.

Is the 9060 XT a solid option? I can get a two-fan Yeston or PowerColor Reaper now.
