I'm putting together a new PC, and it comes with an RX580. However, I currently own an RTX3050. Should I replace the RX580 with the 3050, or would it make more sense to sell the 3050 instead?

I'd definitely go with the RTX3050. The RX580 is pretty outdated and tends to struggle with newer games, while the 3050 will give you better performance overall.
The 580 really is becoming e-waste, so you might regret keeping it for too long. The 3050 will serve you better in the long run!
If cost is a concern, you might consider finding an RTX 5050 instead since it's almost like an RTX 3060. But yeah, if you're tight on budget, just stick with the 3050 if you already have it.
