Which Graphics Card Should I Choose: 5070 or 9070?

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card and I'm torn between the 5070 and the 9070. I have a Ryzen 5 7500F that's been overclocked to perform at the level of a 9600X. I primarily game at 1440p while also streaming at 1080p. Additionally, I do a lot of CAD work, graphic design, and both photo and video editing. The 9070 is about £30 cheaper, but I'm not sure which card would be the better fit for my needs.

Honestly, if you're thinking about the long run, a 5090 might be worth the investment! But if you’re not ready to go that high, just make sure you check local prices for the 5070 Ti. The 5070 can come off as a bit lackluster in comparison.

Just throw in a wild card and get the 5090! Or are you considering the Ada 6000? It has way more VRAM, which might be helpful for your editing duties!

If your main goal is gaming, the 9070 seems like the best option. But keep in mind that for tasks like CAD and photo editing, Nvidia’s CUDA and dual NVENC might give you more advantages. Maybe consider stretching your budget for the 5070 Ti if you can?

The 9070 definitely outperforms the 5070, so if pure performance is what you’re after, I'd lean towards that. But if you prioritize features like better ray tracing and DLSS, the 5070 could be a better pick for you.

Straight up, go for the 9070! It has solid gaming performance. But if you’re really focused on creative work, be sure that it meets your needs.
