I'm looking to replace my old 1070 graphics card and finally upgrade from it. I currently have a Ryzen 5800x CPU and 32GB of 3600 RAM, which I got back in 2021. Now that prices have stabilized, I'm considering two GPUs: the NVIDIA 5070 TI and the AMD 9070 XT. The 5070 TI from GIGABYTE is priced at €800, while the XFX 9070 XT costs €680. I'm interested in understanding the performance differences between these two cards and want to make a choice that will keep me future-proofed for gaming.

With only a €120 difference, I’d recommend going for the 9070 XT. It’s a solid performer and might give you better value for your money!
It’s great that you’re taking the time to research! DLSS is an amazing feature, but don’t overlook FSR, which is pretty competitive. Since you’re considering the AMD card, maybe think about using the extra €120 for a nice AIO cooler. Your current air cooler is excellent, but switching it might solve some space issues in your case too. Good luck!
Unless you’re really into DLSS, the 9070 XT will serve you well. I have a 5070 TI myself, and I’d have picked the AMD card if it wasn't on a special deal.
If future-proofing is a priority, the 5070 TI would be a wise choice. NVIDIA typically supports their cards longer than AMD does. There’s been a lot of discussion about AMD dropping support for their older models, which could be a concern down the line.
Though, keep in mind that the RDNA4 architecture for the 9070 XT has been a hit, so I doubt they’d cut off support anytime soon.

That's a fair point to consider. It’s really about weighing the support risk versus performance for me.
