I'm looking to upgrade my gaming setup without breaking the bank, aiming for the best experience on my 1080p 165Hz monitor. I've narrowed down my options to two graphics cards: the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 with 8GB of VRAM and the AMD Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16GB of VRAM. The RTX 5060 costs around ₹20,000 and is the latest model from NVIDIA, featuring advanced technology like DLSS 4 and strong ray tracing performance, which makes it hard to pass up considering my budget. However, I'm concerned that its 8GB of VRAM might not be enough for future titles. On the flip side, the RX 9060 XT is priced at about ₹25,000, and its 16GB of VRAM seems more future-proof, offering great performance without worrying about texture settings. It does have FSR as a solid option compared to NVIDIA's DLSS, but I've heard its ray tracing isn't as good. For gaming at 1080p 165Hz, is it worth spending the extra ₹5,000 for the RX 9060 XT, or should I stick with the more budget-friendly RTX 5060?

The RX 9060 is hands down the better option. With the demand for VRAM in recent titles, you need at least 12GB, otherwise, you're going to run into issues. Plus, it sounds like it'll give you great performance overall, just maybe not as good with ray tracing. But honestly, it’s a solid trade-off for all that extra VRAM!

I’d say get the RX 9060 XT if you're into single-player games or anything that demands high-quality graphics. It handles textures way better than the 5060, which is crucial for future games. You won’t regret it!

I agree! Especially with the trend of games pushing for more VRAM.

Definitely go for the 9060 XT! With 16GB of VRAM, it's a much better choice moving forward, especially since many newer games are going to require more VRAM. Trust me, the extra ₹5,000 is worth it for a card that won’t be obsolete in just a year or two.

Exactly! I can't imagine gaming with only 8GB nowadays, especially with the graphical demands of new titles.

If you plan on gaming at 1440p later down the line, definitely go for the RX 9060 XT. It has double the VRAM, which will make a big difference in future-proofing your setup. I wouldn’t settle for less than 12GB these days.

Honestly, the RTX 5060 isn’t a great investment at this point. Even if you only play esports, you’ll likely find yourself wanting more VRAM soon. You might as well invest in the RX 9060 XT now and be ready for whatever comes next!
