I'm in the process of building a gaming PC and I'm stuck on which processor brand to choose. AMD has their X3D chips that feature a 3D V-Cache, which seems to enhance gaming performance. On the other hand, Intel usually offers more cores and threads along with higher clock speeds. I'm confused about which brand might offer better price-to-performance value for gaming specifically. Any suggestions?

AMD is leading in gaming performance currently. The extra cores found in Intel's offerings are often E-cores, which really don't help in gaming like the P-cores do. When it comes to sheer gaming performance, AMD's X3D processors are unmatched. Just be aware, they tend to be pricier than their non-X3D counterparts.
Right now, AMD is the way to go for gaming. It's important to consider your budget, though. If you're set on performance without breaking the bank, you should definitely lean towards AMD's X3D series.
So you're saying the P-cores are the real deal for gaming? That makes sense!
