I'm looking for recommendations on a Linux distribution that works well with Google Classroom and Zoom. I also need something that has effective parental controls that's easy to use. I used to use Mint, but I found its parental controls a bit lacking or maybe I just couldn't figure them out properly.

Have you considered Zorin OS? It includes parental controls, which might help with managing usage for your kids. If you're feeling adventurous, you could also dual boot and see how you like it compared to Mint.

Before diving into distros, it's good to know your hardware specs. The kids have decent setups, right? That'll help narrow down your options even more.

Yeah, one has a Core i5 10th gen with 16GB RAM, and the other has a 9th gen Core i5 with the same memory. No graphics cards, though.

You might want to check out Pop!_OS Cosmic. It's user-friendly and has worked well for me with video conferencing apps like Zoom. Plus, it's pretty good overall for daily tasks, including educational ones.
