Hey everyone! I'm planning to switch to Linux for my development work, especially for Android apps and some backend projects. I'm looking for a distro that's highly customizable, allowing me to adjust the environment (like window managers and themes) without causing issues. Stability is key as I want something reliable with up-to-date packages, especially for development tools like the SDK and JDK. I need a distro that works well with Android Studio for a smooth mobile development experience. I've only used Ubuntu so far and I'm contemplating Fedora, Arch, or Debian, but I'm torn. What are your recommendations based on this? Thanks in advance! 🙂

Fedora is probably your best bet. Debian is also a strong contender, depending on your preferences.
Honestly, any of those options could work for you. Based on what you’re describing, Fedora seems like a solid choice for your needs.
Appreciate it! I’ll definitely check that out!
You should really consider openSUSE Tumbleweed. It’s a rolling release that’s incredibly stable, even more so than Fedora in my experience.
Fedora with KDE is especially nice! I wouldn’t recommend Gnome for your use case.
