I'm using a 27-inch 2013 iMac with an NVIDIA GeForce GT 755m, 32GB of RAM, and an Intel Core i5-4570 CPU running at 3.20GHz. I've tried several Linux distributions, including Fedora, Linux Mint, and Cachyos. Between Linux Mint and Cachyos, both of which I've enjoyed, which one do you think would perform better on my device? I noticed Cachyos seems to focus on newer hardware according to their documentation.

Tuxedo OS could be worth a look as well. It’s designed for seamless use on various hardware, including Apple.
You might want to check out some forums like Linux on Mac for advice tailored to Apple hardware. If you’re more productive on one distro, go with that. Since you have a 2013 iMac, a Debian-based distro like Mint could be stable and user-friendly, especially if you're new to Linux. Remember, it’s all about what feels right for you!
I recommend checking out some YouTube videos, especially from Action Retro; he covers a lot about running Linux on Macs and it can be really entertaining too. It might help you decide!
I’ve had good experiences with MX Linux and found it runs smoothly on Apple devices, even older ones. Just keep in mind you might have to tweak some settings, like the keyboard for special characters. But overall, it’s a solid choice for both newbies and seasoned users.

Totally agree with this! Debian-based is usually a great choice for Macs. Stick with what's comfortable.
