I've been trying out Ubuntu for a few weeks now, and it's been great, but I'm noticing my laptop's battery life is pretty short—around 4.5 hours compared to 6.5 hours on Windows. I understand that battery performance can vary quite a bit between different Linux distros. I've heard Arch is very lightweight, but I'm not ready to switch to that just yet. I'm wondering if Fedora would improve my battery life or if there are other distros you would recommend for better power management?

Any Linux distro can be optimized for better battery life; it’s not just about the distro itself. You can use tools like TLP, autocpu-freq, or power-profiles-daemon. I've mainly used TLP, and it has a lot of settings to help improve battery efficiency.
Thanks, I’ll take a look at TLP.
