Hey everyone! I've been checking out Linux through some YouTube videos, but I'm still kind of lost on which version to go with. I've never tried Linux before, so I'm looking for something that fits my needs well. I'm really fed up with AI nonsense and Windows in general, and I want to switch to Linux completely or at least make it my main OS with dual boot to Windows for occasional use. I mainly use my PC for programming (C# with Unity and general C# work), 3D modeling and animation, gaming (including VR, which I've heard can work with ALVR), and music/3D sound production. Additionally, I'm excited about customization since I find Windows' UI quite unsatisfying. Any recommendations?

It’s pretty common for people to ask this! But seriously, for new users, I recommend Linux Mint or LMDE, and Fedora is also a great option based on what you need.
If you're after something user-friendly and stable, Linux Mint is a solid choice. But if you're feeling adventurous and want more customization options, give Fedora with the KDE desktop a shot!
Thanks! I’ll check those out.
Looks like those are popular picks, so I’ll definitely check them out, thanks!
