Which Linux Distro Should I Choose for Dual Boot?

Hey everyone! I asked about dual booting last week, and now I'm looking for recommendations on which Linux distribution to use. Just a heads up, I have minimal experience with Linux—I've only used it on an old laptop and in virtual machines. I'm mainly interested in gaming and general web browsing, and I'd love to customize my setup, too. What do you suggest?

First off, what do you want to do with Linux? Are you just browsing the web, or are you considering gaming or maybe content creation? That’ll help narrow down your options!

I'd recommend checking out Linux Mint. It's super user-friendly and a great choice for beginners. I've been using Mint on my personal laptop for years, and I love how stable and easy it is. Plus, there's a big community for support, which is always a plus for new users!

Thanks! I've tried Linux Mint on an old laptop before, so it’s my top choice right now.

If you’re curious about an alternative, I’ve heard good things about Fedora Atomic spins. Kinoite is good for users transitioning from Windows, while Silverblue is more suited for those coming from macOS. Definitely worth considering if you want to try something different!

You might want to explore the distro selection page in the Linux community wiki. It's loaded with helpful info, and you can find distributions that suit your needs. Just a reminder: always keep your system backed up and test new things in a virtual machine before diving right in!

It's great to see so many people interested in dual booting! Just keep in mind, when you dual boot, you can only run one operating system at a time. What specific goals do you have in mind?
