I have a ThinkPad and I'm planning to dual boot Windows 11 with Linux. I'm really interested in Hyperland and this will be my first experience with Linux. I need a beginner-friendly distro that supports Hyperland. Just to give you some context, I'm a full stack .NET web developer, so I'll be using Windows 11 for backend tasks, but I'd like to work on the frontend using Linux. What do you all think?

Some preconfigured versions of Hyprland might become available soon, so keep an eye out for that. It could help simplify the process for newcomers. Until then, I would recommend finding some preset configurations that you can use to get started without diving deep into the setup right away.
Honestly, Hyperland isn't really beginner-friendly. It's more suited for experienced users who enjoy customizing their setups. You might want to start with a distro like Linux Mint that has the Cinnamon desktop environment. It's much easier to use for newcomers and should keep things simple for you.
If you're up for it, Arch Linux could work since Hyprland is geared towards it, but be ready for some serious setup time. Arch has great documentation, so if you're willing to learn, you can definitely make it happen. Just a heads-up though, if you have an NVIDIA graphics card, you might run into some issues with Hyprland.
What about Fedora? Is that a good option? And how does it compare to Ubuntu for Hyperland?
What exactly is the Cinnamon desktop? Is it something I should be looking for?
