Hey everyone! I'm new to this and I'm looking at two motherboards: the MAG B850M MORTAR WIFI (12 + 2 + 1 60A) and the TUF GAMING B850M-PLUS WIFI (14 + 2 + 1 80A). I'm currently getting a Ryzen 7500F but plan to upgrade to higher-end CPUs like the 7800X3D or 9950X in the future. They're both priced the same, and while I notice that the ASUS has WiFi 6E, I usually use a wired connection since WiFi 7 isn't available in my area yet. I'm really curious about the power phase design between these two motherboards—could you guys help me decide which one is better for my future upgrade? Thanks a lot!

Honestly, the VRMs on both boards are solid enough for even the 9950X or the 9950X3D. I'd say just go for whichever one is the cheaper option. If you're looking to save some cash, consider MSI or Gigabyte's B850 boards in the $140 to $170 range too, especially if you're sticking with Ryzen 5 or 7. Just steer clear of the Asus Prime series, and watch out for Asrock due to their CPU degradation issues.
Both of these motherboards are more than capable of handling those CPUs. Ryzen chips don’t really push the limits too much, especially since overclocking isn’t a major factor here. I think either one will work just fine for your needs!
Thanks for the reassurance! I appreciate it!

The MSI is only $10 cheaper, which isn’t a big deal. Between these two options, which one would you personally pick based on features? I’d love to hear more opinions. Thanks!
