Which PC Build Should I Choose for Gaming?

Hey folks! I'm trying to decide between two gaming PC builds. The first option features an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT, 32GB DDR5 6000 RAM, a 2TB NVMe SSD, and an 850W 80+ Gold power supply, priced at $3000 CAD. The second one has an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X (up to 5.4GHz), GeForce RTX 5070 with 12GB GDDR7, 64GB DDR5 RAM, and the same 2TB NVMe SSD for $2600 CAD. I'm upgrading from a GTX 1060 and an i7 processor, and I usually play CS2 and GTA 5. I'm looking for a setup that can give me high FPS in those games and last a couple of years. Any advice would be really appreciated! Thanks!

For your needs, the first build is the clear winner!

The first build is definitely better overall. However, for Counter Strike 2, the AMD GPU might not perform as well as you'd hope. The RTX 5070 does offer better speeds for that specific game.

Thanks for the insight! Does the same underperformance apply to GTA 5? I couldn't find any info on that link you shared.

I'd definitely go for the first build! It's far superior and will be more future-proof as well. That setup will handle any game you throw at it, and it's a solid investment.

Thank you! I'm leaning towards that one. Do you think the price is fair? It's about $2200 USD.

If you're mostly playing CS2 and GTA 5, you might not need the newest cards. A previous-gen card could still give you great performance at lower costs.

I was considering branching out to other games too! I’ve been limited by my old PC. Money isn't a problem, but I’d like to keep it under $3000 CAD.
