I've had my PC for about six years now, and it's been slowing down during some of the more demanding games I play. Here's my current setup:
- CPU: i7 7700k
- GPU: GTX 1080 EVGA
- RAM: 32GB 2133MHz DDR4
I'm okay with replacing my PSU and motherboard since they're both nearing their limits. My most demanding games are probably Cyberpunk 2077 and modded Minecraft, but I think Minecraft issues are more about optimization than my hardware. I'm considering whether upgrading my CPU would be the best move, but I'm not entirely sure it will significantly boost my performance since I run all my games on an SSD. I'd appreciate any advice on what to focus on for upgrades!

Honestly, you might want to upgrade just about everything. Your current CPU socket won't support significantly better processors than what you have now.
For the games you mentioned, you'll need to upgrade most of your setup. Cyberpunk is really demanding on the GPU, and modded Minecraft can be a tough cookie to crack. If you share a budget, I could help with more specific suggestions!

My budget is around £300 ($400) for just the parts, excluding the motherboard. Let me know if you need any other details!
