Which Power Supply Should I Choose: Corsair RM850e or RM850x?

I'm trying to decide between the Corsair RM850e and RM850x power supplies, as they are the same price in my country. I noticed that the RM850x lacks OPP protection that the RM850e has, but it does come with a longer warranty of 10 years compared to the 7 years for the RM850e. Given these differences, which one would be the better choice for me?

I'd go with the RM850x. It generally has better performance, and the longer warranty shows it has more reliability. Just make sure you grab the 2024 version that meets the ATX 3.1 specs.

Oh, I didn't think about the year version! Thanks for that tip.

What’s the point of the RM850e then? It seems like it has some features the RM850x doesn't.

Well, it's marketed for low noise, is a little smaller, and is cheaper, which might appeal to some folks.

Yeah, its price is probably what makes it attractive for budget builds.
