Hey folks! I've already learned Python and I'm looking to pick up a second programming language. I've been considering Rust since it seems to be gaining popularity, but I'm also thinking about C++ and Java. Any recommendations?

I'd totally recommend diving into Java as your next language! It’s pretty accessible, especially if you’ve got Python under your belt. After you get a good grasp of Java, you might want to explore C++. For a bit of a challenge, you could also check out Rust, C#, or even C++. They might take more effort, but they're super rewarding in the long run.

Thanks for the suggestion! I think I might start with Java.

Before you decide, think about what you want to do with the new language. If you're not super confident in Python yet—like if you haven't built any significant projects—maybe stick with it a bit longer. Gaining real experience will make learning the next language a lot easier. But if you’re ready, go for it!

No, I don’t want to ditch Python, just want to add another one to my skills.
