I'm planning to upgrade from my RTX 3060 to a 9070XT, but I heard it requires a PSU with three 8-pin connectors. I'm considering the CORSAIR RM850, but I've read that it comes with two cables that each have two 8-pin connections, which might not provide enough power for the third 8-pin. Is the RM850 a decent choice, or do I really need to find a PSU that has three separate 8-pin cables?

As long as you get a PSU of at least 750W and it meets the ATX 3.1 safety standards, you should be good to go. Don't all of Corsair’s latest PSUs have three 8-pin cables? You might want to double-check the specifications on their official site. It could clear some confusion for you!
Yeah, I just realized that the RM850 has two cables, each with 2x8 pins, totaling four 8 pins. I thought it was a solid choice too, but I've seen some discussions suggesting that because it splits the connectors, the third 8-pin might not supply enough power. That’s what’s making me second guess it!
I’m using a 750W PSU with my build, paired with a Ryzen 5 5600, and I haven't faced any issues. I think I'm a bit under the recommended 800W, but it’s been fine so far. My PSU is an RM750x and it came with three connectors for the GPU.
