Hey everyone! I'm thinking about building a new PC primarily for gaming and programming, and I'm looking at three options: the Ryzen 5 7500f, the 7600, and the 9600x. My budget for the whole setup is around $600. I found some decent combos: for about $250, I can get a Biostar A620MT with the Ryzen 5 7500f; for around $300, the same motherboard but with the Ryzen 5 7600; and for $310, a Gigabyte A620MH with the Ryzen 5 9600x. After getting motherboards, I estimate I'll have around $300 left for the PSU, RAM, case, storage, and GPU. Most of these components will be new, costing around $20 to $60 each. I'm considering a GTX 1080 Ti or RX 6600, but I could stretch to $200 for a GPU if I went the cheaper route. I saw a Biostar B650MT + Ryzen 7 7700 for about $360—should I think about that instead? Any advice would be appreciated!

Honestly, I'd go for the cheapest option. At your budget, the difference in performance won't drastically affect your gaming experience. Focus on saving for a solid GPU instead!
I recommend the 7500f combo and saving as much as possible for the GPU. Just a heads-up though, don't go for a 1080 Ti; NVIDIA won't be giving driver updates for the 1000 series anymore. A used 3060 or a similar AMD card would be a better bet.

Yeah, I totally get that. But my main question is whether I should prioritize getting a better CPU with a weaker GPU, or a weaker CPU with a stronger GPU. What do you think?
