Which Should I Choose for Self-Hosting: Longhorn or Rook?

I'm currently managing a Kubernetes cluster with about 10 nodes and 1 NFS setup. We've got both stateful and stateless applications running, and all our data is mounted to the NFS server. Now I'm looking to switch from NFS and have come across recommendations for Longhorn and Rook. However, since I don't have experience with either, I'm uncertain which option would be better for us. I'd appreciate any advice or suggestions from those who have tried either solution!

Many users choose Longhorn simply because their hardware isn't suited for Rook. Personally, I'm partial to Rook since it's the foundation for Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation, which gives me extra confidence in its reliability. It has great features, but be aware of its hardware demands, especially when it comes to networking.

I've run both solutions, and while Longhorn is easier to set up, Rook gives me peace of mind when it comes to data integrity.
