Which SSD Should Be My Primary: 2 TB or 4 TB?

I've got a 2 TB SSD that I've been using, but I recently got a 4 TB SSD because my gaming library is growing pretty huge. I'm trying to decide which one should be my primary storage. Should I make the 4 TB my main drive and keep the 2 TB for other stuff, or should I do the opposite? Any advice would be appreciated!

Ultimately, check the specs on both drives. If one has significantly better read/write speeds, that should be your primary. It’s not just about size—performance matters too!

I say go for the 2 TB as your OS drive and keep the 4 TB for games. It’s a solid approach to keep your system clean and avoid clutter.

I've got a similar setup where I use a 1 TB SSD for my OS and programs, and the 4 TB for gaming. It works great for managing space and performance.

Honestly, the size isn't going to make a huge difference in terms of performance. If you're talking about where to install your OS, I'd recommend the 2 TB drive for that since it's smaller and might handle the system processes better.

Exactly! Plus, if you have a problem with your OS, it's easier to handle that on a smaller drive.

If speeds are similar, consider how often you might wipe your primary drive. Having the larger drive as secondary means less risk when reinstalling OS and applications. I'd recommend using the 4 TB for games and the 2 TB for your OS and web browsing.

Agreed! Plus, modern SSDs last longer when you balance the write cycles between them.
