Hey everyone! I'm currently using an AM4 setup with a Ryzen 7 5700X, 32 GB of DDR4 RAM, and an RTX 4070, and I'm looking to possibly upgrade. I'm considering the Ryzen 7 9850X3D and making the jump to the AM5 platform for a long-term solution since I'm concerned about rising RAM prices. My main question is whether I should invest in a new GPU, switch to AM5, or stick with AM4 and make some other upgrades instead. I game at 1440p, primarily multiplayer games (especially ABI), but I also enjoy single-player titles and do a lot of digital photography with Cyberpunk 2077, which requires intensive processing for upscaling and rendering. Additionally, I work with AI a lot, so more processing power would help there too. My budget is around $1,500, but I'm willing to spend more for a significant upgrade. Thanks for your help!

I’d recommend keeping your current platform for now and just getting a new GPU. At 1440p, that’s likely your biggest bottleneck right now. If you throw your entire budget towards a GPU, you could even get into the 5080 territory!
Definitely go for a GPU upgrade! That’s a clear starting point if you want to enhance your performance. Unless you’re facing some major micro stutters during gameplay, I wouldn't worry about swapping the CPU, motherboard, or RAM just yet.
Your build looks pretty solid! If you want to enhance your experience, it might be worth checking out an OLED or mini LED monitor to go with it.
This is a great setup! Is there anything specifically bothering you about your performance? Are your renders taking too long? Sometimes, even at 1440p, you can experience strains with demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077 if you disable DLSS and run all the ray tracing features for photos.
Yeah, gaming can be tough in CP2077 without DLSS, and for work, I can spend 30-40 mins rendering even short clips, especially if I have to redo corrections.

I already have an OLED monitor, so I'm set there!
