Which Upgrades Should I Consider for My Gaming PC?

I've recently started using a 1440p 240Hz monitor and I've noticed that my PC is struggling to keep up with my needs. Previously, I could record at 1080p 120fps without much hassle, but that capability has dwindled. Now, when I want to record at 120fps, I have to drop my resolution to 1536 x 864. I mainly play games like Valorant, but even with those, I've had issues. If I try more demanding games like Dead By Daylight or Warzone, everything goes downhill. While streaming, I often have to lower my output to 720p, and editing is slow, especially with effects.

Here are my specs:
- CPU: i7-11700k
- GPU: PNY 3060 12GB
- RAM: 32GB Corsair RGB 3600MHz
- SSD: Samsung SSD 980 1TB
- PSU: Corsair RM750e Plus Gold 80
- MOBO: Prime Z590 P-Wifi

I built this PC myself back in 2020/2021, so I'm wondering if there's something wrong or if I just need to upgrade parts. What do you think I should focus on upgrading?

First off, how much are you looking to spend? If you can swing between $550 and $600, that might give you some decent options. Based on your specs, it sounds like your GPU could be a bottleneck, especially with the games you're playing. Upgrading to a better GPU like the RTX 4070 or 4070 Ti would really boost your performance for both gaming and streaming. Also, maybe consider adding an additional SSD for more storage; running out of space can slow things down. Just keep an eye on your power supply, too, to make sure it can handle a new GPU.

I think your CPU is pretty capable, so I'd focus more on the GPU. The RTX 3060 is decent but not ideal for gaming at 1440p at high settings. Depending on the market, upgrading to something like a 3070 or 3080 could give you a much better experience, especially if you're aiming for higher frame rates. And as for storage, if you’re constantly deleting and running out of space, a second SSD could help store your games and recordings without hassle.
