Why am I getting low FPS on my new PC build?

I just built a new PC a couple of days ago, and I'm noticing some really low FPS in Fortnite. I'm using a Ryzen 5 9600X CPU and a Radeon 9060XT GPU with 16GB of VRAM, along with 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 6000MHz. Despite having all these specs, I'm only averaging around 170 FPS on the lowest settings, which seems really low compared to videos I've seen where others with similar setups are getting over 300 FPS. What can I do to boost my performance? I haven't installed much yet.

You might want to try a factory reset and make sure all your drivers are updated. Sometimes, outdated drivers can really drag down performance. Also, check that you’re running the latest version of Fortnite. That might help a bit!

It's important to note that many Fortnite players use very specific settings, not just the lowest ones. Look into competitive settings online, as they often tweak things to get better performance. Also, enable the X3D mode on your CPU and consider overclocking your GPU. There's a lot to optimize when you build a new PC, and it can take some time to get everything just right.

Thanks for the tips! I'm actually doing a factory reset right now and will look into those settings after.
