Hey everyone! I'm running into this annoying issue where I keep seeing a message that says I'm 'out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource' when I launch certain games. Sometimes, the game just crashes without any warning, and I'm pretty sure it's related to this error. I have a 13th Gen Intel i7-13700K with 32GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, which should be more than enough, considering the game only recommends 8GB of RAM. I could really use some help because this is really starting to get on my nerves! Interestingly, when the game does launch, it usually runs fine after loading the shaders, which adds to my confusion.

It's important to remember that it's not just the game that uses VRAM. Other applications, like your web browser or anything using hardware acceleration, can take up VRAM too. For example, right now, I have my browser open and I've seen it use 2.3GB of VRAM just for that. So, if you have anything else running in the background, like Discord, it might be contributing to the problem. Try closing down other applications when you play and see if that helps!
Are you experiencing the crashes mostly while the game is loading shaders? That’s where a lot of users face issues, especially with VRAM-related problems. If that’s the case, it might help to check if your GPU drivers are fully updated or try lowering some in-game graphics settings to reduce the demand on your VRAM.
