Why are all my games suddenly stuttering?

This morning, I've noticed that every game I try to play on my Lenovo Legion starts stuttering badly for about a minute before dropping to a very low frame rate. This laptop has a 3070 graphics card and 16 GB of RAM, and I've never encountered this issue before. I'm at a loss as to what might be causing this sudden problem.

Have you tried updating your drivers? That often helps with performance issues. It's usually the first step to take when games start acting up.

If you have an Nvidia card, try changing Vertical Synchronization (VSync) to ADAPTIVE in the Nvidia Control Panel. For AMD users, look for AMD Enhanced Sync instead. Also, check the Task Manager for any processes using too much memory or processing power. Sometimes, these system settings just need a little tweak to get everything back on track.

Check your shader cache size in the Nvidia Control Panel. If it's not set properly, it might take a while for your PC to manage it, leading to stuttering. Try setting it to 100GB or even unlimited and see if that fixes the problem.

How do I do that?
