Why Are My 3DMark Scores So Low After Installing a 5090?

I just installed a Gigabyte AORUS MASTER GeForce RTX 5090 and tried running the 3DMark benchmarks (specifically Steel Nomad and TimeSpy), but my scores were surprisingly low. I made sure to run the tests multiple times without any background apps. My setup includes 176 ROPs and I followed a guide for optimal RAM timings (30-36-36-76) using EXPO, although I ended up using 3000 MHz instead of the 6000 MHz my RAM supports. I've left both CPU and GPU untouched with regards to tweaking. Unfortunately, I can't add images here, but I've linked the benchmark results and my system specs. I'd appreciate any advice on what could be misconfigured or if there's something wrong with my setup.

Did you happen to replace an old GPU? If so, make sure you used DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to clean out the old drivers and then reinstall the new ones. This can sometimes make a huge difference in performance, especially after a big upgrade like this!

Yep, I did a clean install of Windows 11 with fresh drivers and firmware.

Just a heads-up, it seems like a lot of people forget to update their BIOS. Since your motherboard was released in early 2023 and the 7800X3D followed a bit later, it might still be on older firmware. Updating the BIOS can unleash the full potential of your system.

Also, don’t forget you can directly link your benchmark results! It helps others review your scores. For example, you could share them like this: https://www.3dmark.com/spy/33247325. Hopefully that helps you get better feedback!
