Hey everyone,
I've been noticing that my Ryzen 9 9800X3D is hitting some crazy temperatures when I play Call of Duty, reaching up to 94/95 degrees Celsius. My idle temps are around 50/55 degrees, which seems fine, but during gaming, it's maxing out at nearly 99% on the PPT according to Ryzen Master. I did manage to resolve some previous overheating issues by reseating the cooler, and that took care of the idle temps and thermal throttling. However, these gaming temperatures still feel excessive. Any advice?

It sounds like you're encountering some PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) temperatures. Have you checked your cooling setup? How's your case airflow?
Is your AIO configured as a top exhaust? Also, what case are you using? If airflow is restricted, that could explain the high temps.
Yes, it's set up for top exhaust, and I’m using a Corsair 4000D frame.
Have you considered enabling eco mode? It might help reduce those temps while gaming.
I tried that, but it didn’t really seem to help.

I'm using an AIO Kraken 280, and I've got three front case fans for intake and one back fan for exhaust.
