I've upgraded to the iPhone 17 Pro from my old 14 Pro back in October, and I'm having a frustrating issue with my timelapse videos. I've recorded a lot of these in the past without any issues, but twice now, I thought I was recording only to find that the videos didn't save. The first time was during Thanksgiving, and the second just happened recently. The shutter circle was spinning, so I know it was recording, but the video doesn't show up in my camera roll or even in the deleted items. Is there a fix for this? Where do my videos go? I'd really appreciate any help!

I had the same problem today! I was recording for about 2 hours on my iPhone 17 Pro running iOS 26.1 and all my footage disappeared. I was heartbroken! I had a similar loss just before that. I hope they fix this in the next update—fingers crossed!
Have you checked if your phone is still on iOS version 26.1? Some people have reported issues with that version, especially if they didn’t update to 26.2. Also, what’s the typical length of your timelapse videos? It might help to narrow down the issue if we know that, too.
I’m still on 26.1. It’s so odd because I was sure it was recording both times.

So frustrating, right? I lost footage after recording for an hour and a half too. I've been doing timelapses for years and never faced this issue until now.
