I recently upgraded my graphics card from a GTX 1070 to an MSI 5080, and now I'm facing an issue where neither of my monitors will turn on. Before switching, both monitors were functioning fine when I powered down the system. I've connected the GPU using the provided connector along with two separate 2x8 pin cables attached to the 2/3 connector slots on the new GPU. Although the GPU lights up and my keyboard lights up when I press keys, both monitors remain black and have a flashing power light, indicating they might be off. I even tried connecting an HDMI cable to my TV, but I can't switch to the input option that worked before with the 1070.

It sounds like you might not have the PCIe power connectors fully hooked up, which could be causing the issue. If you're using a single 8-pin cable, it can only provide 150 Watts, which might not be enough for your new GPU. Try to ensure that every power connector is securely attached to the GPU and double-check your PSU's wattage rating to make sure it can handle the new card. Good luck!
From what I read, you actually only need to connect a 12-pin or a 6x2 cable to the 5080. The third slot isn’t necessary to power it, so maybe that’s worth checking out!
