Has anyone else noticed that Dell Command Update (DCU) isn't picking up BIOS updates for Latitude models, even when Dell releases them weeks or months later? I've been using a script to check updates directly from Dell's catalog, but it seems like they've stopped updating that altogether. Usually, they might delay updates by a few days, but it's unusual for critical security updates to be overdue by weeks. Am I the only one facing this issue?

In our experience with the 3540-3510 models, DCU does find some updates but often lags behind the latest versions available on the support site. It's frustrating, especially when you rely on them for timely updates.
I actually managed to update BIOS on a Dell Latitude using the action1rmm management tool. It's worth checking out if you're having trouble with the usual methods!
What management system are you using for your devices? Maybe that could be affecting the update process.
Interestingly, UEFI Capsule Updates can be repackaged for Linux. The process works well, but it looks like the original method for finding updates isn't as effective anymore. I heard DCU was supposed to handle encapsulated updates, but with Intune now in the picture, maybe Dell has phased DCU out for BIOS updates.
I vaguely remember that BIOS updates might have been moved to Windows Update, which could explain the delay. It's annoying because those updates can just sit there waiting for a reboot, especially if BitLocker is suspended.
