Why Can’t I Download Anything on My New Computer?

Hey everyone, I'm having a frustrating issue with my new computer. I'm unable to download anything at all, not even small files or game launchers. Initially, I thought it was just a problem with downloading a specific game launcher, but it seems like I've hit a wall where nothing downloads. I've checked my browser and my files, and I don't see any downloads in progress. I even tried unsyncing OneDrive, hoping that might help. My PC is fairly new and runs on Windows 11, so if this might be a Windows-related issue, I'd appreciate any insight. Thanks!

First off, is your hard drive full? Sometimes that can block new downloads. Could you share more details about what happens when you try to download? What error messages are you seeing? If you could film the issue, that would really help too. Also, maybe try downloading something simple like the VLC media player to see if that works.

It sounds like a Windows update might be stuck or some previous installations didn't finish properly. I’d recommend checking the Event Viewer for repeated installation attempts. You could also look in the Windows Update section to see if there's anything pending.

Have you tried different browsers? Sometimes one can have issues while others work fine. If you’re using third-party antivirus or firewall software, try disabling those temporarily. Also, check for Windows Updates and see if all your settings are correct. You might want to perform a clean boot to rule out any software conflicts.
