I'm trying to install Windows 11, but I keep getting an error saying my PC doesn't meet the system requirements, specifically mentioning, "You can't install Windows on a USB flash drive using Setup." The drive in question is actually an external SSD connected via USB C, and I've already turned off secure boot. What's the best way to proceed?

To get Windows 11 installed properly, you should enable UEFI mode and turn on secure boot, along with ensuring that TPM 2.0 is activated. Importantly, Windows 11 requires installation on an internal drive, so that's likely why it's not working with your external SSD.
Are you trying to set this up on a laptop or desktop? It could make a difference in how you approach the installation. Also, did you see the error during the installation or while you were making the bootable USB? If it's the latter, consider using the Windows .iso file from Microsoft's site and using Rufus to create your bootable drive. If you're trying to install directly to the external SSD, you might need to set it up internally first to get it working right.
