Why can’t I press more than three keys at once on my keyboard in Debian 12?

Hey everyone! I'm having a frustrating issue with my keyboard on Debian 12. Basically, I can't seem to press more than three keys at a time, especially when I'm trying to play games like Cuphead. I did some digging and found something about the "Caps Lock delay issue," but I have no trouble with using Shift or Caps Lock. This is driving me nuts, and I really don't want to switch distros again! Anyone have any insights?

It sounds like a key rollover issue. Basically, that’s how many keys can be pressed simultaneously and still register. Some keyboards, especially older laptop ones, can have limitations on how many keys are recognized at once due to their design. If you’re using a USB keyboard, it could be related to how USB works; good ones usually support n-key rollover, which lets you press a bunch of keys at once. Just curious, did this happen when you were on Windows? It might not be a Linux issue after all!

Nope! When I was on Windows, I had no issues at all. This is really only happening in Debian, and I can't even use the touchpad and keyboard together!
