Why can’t I switch between two games on Windows 11?

I'm having a problem on Windows 11 where I can't switch between two games that are open on the same monitor. When I try to use alt + tab or just click on the other game's window, it momentarily flickers to the new game but then just jumps back to the original one. Sometimes it works, but mostly it doesn't. I've got an AMD GPU and CPU, and I've made sure my drivers are up to date. I've even tried turning off any gaming or GPU-related settings in Windows, and I did a reinstall of Windows with the latest updates, but that didn't help either. I noticed that switching to a non-game window works fine, and the problem doesn't occur when the games are on different monitors. Regardless of whether the games are in windowed, borderless windowed, or fullscreen mode, the issue persists. Any ideas?

I ran into a similar issue, and it turned out to be the Discord overlay that was causing the problem. Once I disabled it, everything worked perfectly for switching between games! Give that a try and see if it solves your issue too.

That fixed my problem completely. Thanks a ton!
